There are 4 new titles in the CCSG Library which are availbale to CCSG members here in NZ

  • Young People and Chronic Illness (1998). A book describing how young people cope with chronic illness. Features 'Mathew' who has Crohn's disease. The second section is about how to cope, tips on family life, how to tell your friends and dealing with hospitals. (Awaiting review).
  • Your Health - Inflammatory Bowel Disease (1999). Played on NZ nationwide talkback radio on station Radio Pacific on June 23. Features Dr Mark Lane and CCSG 'Information Officer' Shirley Hartshorne (audio tape).
  • 'Middlemore' Episode 2 - Crohn's disease surgery (1999). Screened on TV2, made by Communicado. A 'reality TV' type hospital program.
  • Talk About Ulcerative Colitis - Video (1997). A video produced by the National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease in the UK. Especially for young people.

A new addition to the list of CCSG services is the launch of a new nationally distributed newsletter called Gut Feeling. First issue in October and articles posted to the CCSG Web Site after that.

The list of literature available from the CCSG continues to grow. 3 new books, 3 new videos and an audio tape. Also check out the cover of the updated and redesigned CCSG leaflets.

The link to the Merck Medical Manual has been updated. (It works now!)

Local contact details for other CCSG updated.
