The IBD Abstract Search Page is no longer available via our "links" page but a link to Dr Steven Holland's IBD Pages has been added. Also added is a general health information site called HealthWINDOWS.

Amongst the email we get here at the CCSG a number of companies with "alternative" products approach us for our endorsement. We don't endorse any of these treatments but this one is called Primal Defense. "It is a very useful supplement for many people who suffer with Crohn's and Colitis. It is a type of 'probiotic' that boosts absorption and regulates the pH balance of the intestine." See for yourself at crohns.net (currently under construction).

Nicola Ryan reports positive results from the use of Entocort® after surgery in people with Crohn's disease in the research section of our newsletter pages. And also one of our most popular library titles "The Angry Gut" gets the glowing review that we all expected for this outstanding IBD resource book. Also recently reviewed is Talk About Crohn's is a video produced by the National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease in the UK. It is especially for young people and teenagers and looks at the effect Crohn's disease has had on their lives so far.
